I would just like to thanks Sean Meyer of Our London for this very nice write-up, and rather flattering photo. I had a great day out painting along side musicians Trusty Fox near the Covent Garden Market, and I am very happy to be a part of the London Arts Live project. Thanks to Rachel Pennington and the Arts Council for their continued support.
I was invited to come and paint on Saturday at Heaven Scent in the village. It was a hot day but I had a great spot under a massive maple right on Wortley Road, and somehow managed to neither melt nor burn. I had the pleasure of meeting many new people and seeing quite a few friends and fans. I would definitely come back and paint here again.
I painted 4 paintings live between 10 am and 3 pm ... though I didn't finish the last, as the paints were starting to act funny from the heat. I sold a few paintings and met several people interested in taking lessons or hosting Paint Parties. And excitingly, I may have a new teaching opportunity at a local school (fingers crossed).
It was a wonderful experience. If you haven't been by the store, I invite you to visit them. They often have artists, musicians and local groups and charities out front on Saturdays ... right across the street from the new and hip vegan restaurant, PMK (Plant Matter Kitchen). Who knows, I may see you there.

I will be again participating in Wortley Village's biggest art event of the year: The Square Foot Show ... along with every other artist with 20 km. Each year the opening gets bigger and the art gets better and more plentiful. Every piece must be exactly 1 foot square. And from what I gather practically every inch of the Westland's walls will be covered with fine local art. This year I will be contributing 3 recent works. (see below)
That said, if you don't like crowds, who may prefer to come on another day (after the opening). Wednesday's gala will be more packed than TD SunFest. But if you love to mingle it'll be the place to be, starting at 7 pm. It is the biggest artist's social event of the year and always a good time. I look forward to seeing all my art friends, and meeting many more who I know only from social media.
I hope I see you there. And if you would like to meet me at the gallery, once the show is open, message me or call me to arrange a time (show runs for a month until Aug. 12) . I would love an excuse to go to the gallery and talk about art with you.
What is up with Nic and his paintings? Where can I check his art out? What does Nic think about stuff? This is the spot to find out the answers.
